Listening to my body

Yesterday I had an opportunity to practice what I teach.

After teaching a class and taking my daughter to gymnastics class, I was feeling tired and congested.  Yet, I had two more things I had planned to do at night.  I was not sure how I could do it all.  So I did what I teach my students to do: I asked my body if it desired to go out and play.  The answer I received was not what I was looking for.  My body desired to rest and that’s all.  So I chose to listen, and take a nap.

But I did have 2 other meetings to attend-so what to do?  I could have chosen to judge myself for breaking a commitment to my friends, and to myself.  I could have criticized myself for taking on too much.  I could have consumed another cup of coffee and keep going-regardless of how my body felt.  I could have felt bad, that I would miss out on great fun.  I could also have chosen to be in allowance of me, and my body. I could have chosen to honor myself, by following the wisdom of my body.  And I could have been greateful for friends who also care for and honor me.  I chose to be loving and kind to me.

So, I called my friends and they were so sweet about the whole thing.  They just wanted me to feel better.  Then I had tea with honey and lemon to give my immune system a boost.  And after that, I went to bed.

This morning, when I woke up, I was refreshed and ready to face the day.  There was a sense of peace and gratitude.  I am so grateful for listening to and honoring my body, for caring and generous friends, and for supportive family.

So next time you have a choice to make-where or not you want to push it harder or let go, will you be willing to ask a question first?  Will you be willing to ask your body for what it knows and to follow what it asks of you?

What great contribution can your body be to you?

New tradition

My daughter is watching “Cinderella II: Dreams come true”.  In the movie Cinderella is preparing for the ball and trying to do things the “right” way, and it’s not quiet working for her.  Then she says: “I know I can do this. I just have to stop being someone else.”   And as the king sees all the changes, his reactions are so surprising and cute.  What a way to empower kids!  Love it.

This is so Access Consciouness-Be You and Change the world!

What can you do or be different today that is so YOU?

be you Rachael

Question of the day

I had an interesting experience today. I was invited to a business networking meeting last night and directions the to the location were not easy to follow (they were confusing). As I drove to the place, I had to drive around the lot a couple of time before finding my destination, which made me a couple of minutes late. As I parked my car, I had some choices to make: 1) judge the person who gave me the directions, 2) judge myself for not leaving enough time to find the place, 3) ask a question. Today I chose option number 3. I asked the question. As I did, the situation lighten up and I went on to have a productive and fun meeting. How does it get any better? And I would like to offer this question to you as a question for the day:
What is right about this (situation) that I am not getting?
You can also modify it and ask “What is right about me that I am not getting?”
Play with it today and notice your own “Aha” moments and I would love to hear about them.

With ease, joy and glory,
Marinachange your life

How does it get any better than this?

Today I had a phenomenal time sharing tools of Access Consciousness with members of Alternative Health Care Providers in Long Beach. During our conversation we talked about using questions in order to create different possibilities. Allow me to share some our discussion with you.

What questions can we ask? There are so many. We can begin with: What else is possible? Or How does it get any better than this? or even “What question can I ask here?”

So next time something awesome happens in your life, would you be willing to ask: How does it get any better than this? Similarly, if you are dealing with a difficult issue, or something comes at you unexpectedly, use the same question again. The idea behind it is to get out of the conclusion and decision and invite something new into your life.

How would that look like practically, you ask. Let’s take traffic, for example. You are driving along and all of a sudden the traffic on the freeway just stops. We now have several options: “Not again!” is one of them. “I can’t believe this!!!!!”. “I will be late!” “This is crazy!” or “I hate traffic”. Does that sound familiar? I know I have said something similar a few times in my life. However, now I offer you a different choice. “What else is possible here?” “How does it get any better than this?” “What would it take to make it to my appointment on time?”

So next time you are faced with a choice, I invite you to pause for just a minute and choose from joy. What would you like to create in your life? What else is possible?

Thanks for visiting,
Marina

Honoring your body

When your body is talking to you can you hear it? When was the last time you honored your body?

As I continue my journey with Access, I am learning to be a better listener to what my body is trying to tell me. I have learned to use the tool of muscle testing and body pendulum to have clearer communications with  it. I wish I could say that I now listen to my body all the time, but I don’t. I still override it at times when I want to eat chocolate or drink some coffee, when my body does not require or desire it. How do I know my body does not want it? I ask it: Body would you like to eat or drink this (fill in the blank with the food in front of you)? Oh, and the body lets me know that it did not want the coffee by making me hyperactive or giving me indigestion after I eat the food.

So next time you are about to eat something, won’t you take a minute and ask your body what it would like to eat? You might be surprised. I invite you to play with this tool and find out how to honor your body with every bite of food you inject. Please share with us your results and what is your body’s favorite food.

Thanks for playing,
Marina

What is your body asking for?

I have recently attended 2 classes where I learned how to have a better connection to my body and some awesome processes to facilitate not only mine by other’s people bodies as well.  How many times a day do we ignore our body and eat something it does not want?  Have we ever truly heard what our bodies are trying to tell us?  What if we could only ask the body what it wanted and it would tell us?  Could it be that easy?

I would like to invite all of you to honor your body and invite it to be your loving partner.  What else is possible for you?

Thanks,

Marina
